Replacing Modems
==================

If we supply you with a replacement modem, for example to upgrade from 2G to 4G comms, please follow the procedure below:

- Ensure the meter is **fully turned off** before replacing the modem.  
- For Emlite meters, the modem is situated at the top of top of the meter and can be removed by loosening the screw(s) holding it in place.
- For Elster A1140 meters, the modem is situated under the bottom cover, which is held in place by two screws, left and right.
- Please record the following information:

1. **Serial number** of the modem, which can be found on the rear of the modem.
2. **Serial number** of the meter that you are fitting the modem on to.

Please provide the information above to the staff at support@juggle.energy who will be able to update the records in Juggle.

Installing New ASL Meters
==================

The basic meter installation is as for any energy meter - the range of meters are straightforward electrically and any competent electrician will be able to complete the installation.

If Juggle Energy have provided you with the meter (with a modem and SIM included) then you only need to provide the following information to Juggle Energy Ltd to allow this to be set up:

- If this is a replacement meter, the existing "**emig ID**" of the meter.
- The **serial number** of the meter (we will hold records of the modem & SIM details)
- The "name" of the site / property and the full postal address
- For PV systems, the **maximum AC power** rating of the connected inverter(s)
